Client Magnetism CEU and ASID Annual Tradeshow

I recently attended a presentation by Angela Merola called, "Client Magnetism: Tools for Attracting Clients." This CEU was part of the ASID Distinguished Speaker Series, and I am so glad that I attended! Angela spoke about the importance of determining what kinds of attributes we can offer clients in addition to our general interior design services. Black and White

In our fast-paced design industry, color trends change each year, each season, and even within each design style.  Remember, for example, the chartreuse greens, vivid oranges, and bright yellows that have been so popular over the recent years.  Only a short time before that neutrals were all the rage.  Décor has such a fickle heart.  There will always be two colors, however, that will never go out of style – the two extremes of the color spectrum – black and white.  It’s hard to go wro...

Wood Veneer CEU in Washington, DC

Over my spring break, I was fortunate enough to attend the Wood Veneer CEU being hosted by the IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter at WMCC.  Bacon Veneer Company gave a very informative presentation about wood veneer as a product, as well as what we need to understand as designers when specifying wood veneer.  I was extremely excited to learn more about the MAC’s efforts to start a Student Hub for students throughout the area that will reflect a professional chapter and give students the opportunity ...
