about me
When I first made the decision to pursue interior design, I was always motivated by the way I would be able to positively impact the daily lives of people. Interiors are a huge part of our lives that are quietly surrounding almost every action we take. I strive to be a designer who creates spaces that are both exciting and improve our quality of living.
I received my BFA in Interior Design from Winthrop University, SC and moved to the city of Baltimore, MD upon graduating in May 2011. During my college career, I worked as an intern for a residential design firm and a model home design firm; these opportunities enhanced my skills as a designer and gave me experience in the business world. After moving to Baltimore, I began working as an interior design assistant for a small residential design firm and expounded on my familiarity with the business side of the field, my general design skills, and my transition into working constantly with clients and vendors. After working at Carey Lind Design for approximately a year, I accepted the opportunity to work with a growing firm in the hospitality industry – Studio Partnership. Although I enjoyed working in the residential design realm, I have always been interested in practicing in the commercial design field. Being a part of the hospitality industry has been fast-paced and filled with room for creativity, and I cannot wait to continue to develop my knowledge and skills within this exciting industry.
My personal design philosophy is heavily influenced by nature, places that I have visited throughout my travels, and a great deal of research. I recently demonstrated my commitment to growing within the design industry by earning my NCIDQ Certification in November of 2016. As I continue working for Studio Partnership, I look forward to developing my career as a staff interior designer.
